TVS Motor Company expands into Kenya with electric scooter and premium motorcycle

TVS Motor Company has expanded its presence in the Kenyan market with the launch of the iQube electric scooter and the introduction of the Apache RR 310 flagship supersport motorcycle. The iQube marks the Indian manufacturer’s first entry into the African market and will be distributed through Car & General.

The iQube is available in two variants: a 3.5 kWh model offering a 115 km range and an 82 km/h top speed, and a 2.2 kWh model with a 75 km range and 75 km/h top speed. The electric scooter features SmartXonnect connectivity, including smartphone-linked navigation and crash detection. The company estimates that running the iQube can cost approximately $363 less per year than a comparable 125cc petrol scooter.

Additionally, TVS showcased the Apache RR 310 at the Bikers Family Festival in Nairobi. This 312.2 cc motorcycle features four riding modes—Track, Sport, Urban, and Rain—and is designed for high-performance riding. The Apache RR 310 is available for sale through Car & General showrooms.
