TÜVTÜRK announces free appointments and upcoming inspection changes

TÜVTÜRK has issued a warning regarding fraudulent websites and unauthorized payment requests for vehicle inspection appointments. The institution emphasized that booking an inspection is entirely free and can only be done through official channels, including the official website, call center, kiosks at stations, or e-Devlet.

Significant changes are approaching the vehicle inspection system. Starting August 15, 2027, Turka is set to take over inspection services for a 20-year period. Following negotiations with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, commission fees for credit and debit card payments will be eliminated to address long-standing driver complaints.

Turka plans to expand its infrastructure across all 81 provinces, aiming to establish 249 fixed and 100 mobile inspection stations, with plans to increase mobile units to 250. A pilot station in Istanbul is expected to utilize advanced technologies, including AI-supported image processing, multi-point camera systems, and laser scanners.
