Twelve arrested after ultras clash in Jerez

A violent clash between ultras from CD Badajoz and Xerez CD resulted in twelve arrests following a football match in Jerez. The confrontation occurred in the Madre de Dios area prior to the Segunda Federación Group 4 fixture, which Xerez CD lost 1-2.

Approximately 30 individuals, reportedly armed with sticks and other blunt objects, engaged in a large-scale brawl involving the throwing of stones and terrace chairs. Witnesses also reported hearing several detonations. Police officers intervened by blocking exits to a nearby underground parking lot where some participants had sought refuge, leading to the interception of nine individuals.

Authorities recovered various weapons, including wooden sticks, some of which appeared to have bloodstains. Of the twelve detainees, three reside in Jerez and nine are from Badajoz, including one 17-year-old minor. The arrests were made for alleged participation in a tumultuous riot.
