Twin Falls shooting at In-N-Out leaves three dead

A shooting at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, resulted in three deaths and ten injuries. The gunman, identified as 24-year-old Chad Williams, opened fire from the restaurant's drive-thru window on multiple occasions. One of the deceased was an In-N-Out employee. Williams died by suicide while being pursued by police.

Authorities highlighted the actions of several individuals who intervened during the attack. Idaho State Police Specialist Steve McClain, who was off-duty at the time, engaged the shooter by returning fire and directing employees to safety. Additionally, Braxton Steube, an employee from a nearby Dick’s Sporting Goods, attempted to distract the gunman by confronting him with his hands raised.

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks described the event as “violent, terrifying, and deeply traumatic,” praising the courage of those who stepped in to protect others.
