Two 14‑year‑old students found dead in Ipoh flat, police launch investigation

Two 14‑year‑old female students, close friends attending afternoon classes, were discovered dead at the abandoned Flat Sungai Pari in Buntong, Ipoh, Malaysia. Their mother, identified as Seela, said she dropped them off at school at 1 p.m. and received a call at about 4:50 p.m. that they were at the vacant flat. Security personnel found the bodies around 5 p.m., and the victims were still wearing the school PE uniform they had worn that morning.

Perak Police Chief Datuk Mohd Alwi Zainal Abidin said early investigation suggests the girls left school voluntarily and there is no evidence of third‑party involvement. The cause of death remains unclear pending forensic autopsy and further analysis. Police have urged the public to respect the family’s privacy and refrain from speculation as the inquiry continues.
