Two 18-year-olds killed in Przasnysz car crash

On 5 May 2026, an Audi A3 driven by 18‑year‑old Bartosz T. left the road in Przasnysz, Poland, struck a tree and killed both occupants, Bartosz and passenger Oskar M., at the scene. Police investigations found the vehicle was travelling at high speed, the driver lost control after exiting a curve, and no technical defect contributed to the collision. Prosecutor Elżbieta Edyta Łukasiewicz of the Ostrołęka District Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the findings and, by a decision dated 26 June, closed the case under article 177 paragraph 2 of the penal code.

The accident, which occurred on Słowackiego Street as the youths were travelling toward Chorzel, sparked renewed calls about the dangers of excessive speed on winding roads. The investigation also examined the vehicle’s condition, with experts concluding the car’s technical state was not a factor.
