Two bodies discovered in separate incidents in Honduras

Two separate incidents involving deceased individuals were reported in Honduras on Friday, October 30, 2026.

In Marcovia, Choluteca, two people were found dead in the Las Cañeras sector of El Ojochal during the early morning hours. One victim, a man estimated to be approximately 32 years old, was discovered by commuters. The identities of both individuals and the causes of death remain unknown. National Police have arrived at the scene to coordinate investigations and await forensic identification.

In Concepción, Copán, two men were found dead and burned inside the Las Acuntas village cemetery. Local residents alerted authorities after discovering the bodies. Preliminary reports suggest the men were killed and their bodies subsequently set on fire by unidentified individuals. While local speculation suggests a possible connection to criminal gang activity, authorities have not officially confirmed any link to criminal structures. This event follows another incident in Dolores, Copán, where a body was reportedly removed from a grave and burned.
