Two dead in fatal A32 motorway accident near Susa

Two young men, Mohammed Ez Zanzouni, 23, and Federico Ferrari, 22, were killed in a fatal car accident on the A32 Torino-Bardonecchia motorway early Friday morning. The incident occurred near the Giaglione tunnel, close to Susa.

The victims were traveling in a Jeep Avenger, which was completely destroyed in the crash. A third passenger, also from the Genoa area, was seriously injured and transported to Rivoli hospital.

Preliminary investigations suggest the accident may have been autonomous, involving no other vehicles. Authorities are investigating whether the cause was driver distraction, slippery road conditions due to recent rain, or a combination of factors on the curved, downhill section of the motorway following the tunnel exit.
