Tauste double homicide: Daughter and partner arrested for killing UAGA leaders

The Guardia Civil has arrested one of the daughters of Javier Sánchez and Esther Latorre, along with her partner, as the alleged perpetrators of a double homicide in Tauste, Zaragoza. The victims, both approximately 60 to 67 years old, were found dead in their home on the night of Saturday, August 8, with signs of violence and injuries consistent with a bladed weapon.

Javier Sánchez was a prominent figure in the Aragonese agricultural sector, having served as the Secretary General of the Unión de Agricultores y Ganaderos de Aragón (UAGA) for twelve years between 1999 and 2010. Esther Latorre was also deeply involved with the organization. Their deaths have caused significant shock and mourning within the UAGA and the local community of Tauste.

The suspects, including a man of Colombian nationality, will be brought before the judicial authorities at the Tribunal de Instancia de Ejea de los Caballeros. Investigations are ongoing to reconstruct the events and determine the motive behind the crime.
