Two foreigners arrested with marijuana in Hammamet, Tunisia

Police judicial officers in Yasmine Hammamet detained two foreign nationals staying at a hotel in the tourist area after receiving a tip about drug activity. A search of the occupants' hotel room uncovered seven sealed packets of marijuana, which investigators say were intended for commercial distribution.

The suspects were placed in custody and a prosecution has been opened for alleged possession, detention and transport of narcotics with intent to traffic. Authorities said investigations are ongoing to determine the full scope of the network and identify any additional participants.
