Two French nationals arrested in Nador over fatal assault in Saidia
Security forces in Nador, coordinating with authorities in Saidia, arrested two French nationals of Moroccan origin on Tuesday, August 11. The individuals, aged 31 and 34, are suspected of involvement in a violent altercation that resulted in a death.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Tuesday following a dispute near the Marina parking lot in Saidia. The confrontation escalated into physical violence involving four members of the Moroccan diaspora. One victim died from serious injuries sustained during the attack, while three others were injured and subsequently treated at a hospital.
The suspects were apprehended at the Beni Ansar border crossing while attempting to leave Morocco in a vehicle with French license plates. They are currently in custody under judicial investigation to determine the full circumstances of the event. Authorities are continuing investigations to identify and apprehend two other accomplices involved in the assault.
