Two Japanese men arrested for drunken driving in Ishikawa and Fukuoka
Police in Ishikawa prefecture arrested a 45‑year‑old president of a local sake brewery after he was caught driving under the influence and colliding with another vehicle in Hakusan city. The suspect admitted to the offence and was taken into custody by the Kanazawa police station.
In Fukuoka prefecture, a man from Kawahara town was detained by the Fukuoka Prefectural Police Tagawa branch on suspicion of intoxicated driving. Both arrests were reported on 30 July 2026 and illustrate ongoing law‑enforcement efforts to curb drunken driving in Japan.
