Two men detained in Poznań after attempting to raid Ukrainian business office

On 3 July, two men entered the University of Economics in Poznań and demanded to inspect the office of a Ukrainian woman who runs a company helping foreign nationals legalise their stay in Poland. They questioned her about alleged support for Stepan Bandera and recorded her without consent.

Police arrested the men after the woman reported the incident. Prosecutors charged them with defamation and hate speech, imposing police supervision and a ban on contacting the victim. Under Polish law they face fines, restriction of liberty or up to one year in prison. The Interior Ministry reiterated a zero‑tolerance stance toward nationalist‑motivated aggression.
