NSW Police arrest suspects in separate violent incidents
New South Wales police have arrested individuals in connection with two distinct violent incidents. In the Sydney inner west, 32-year-old Jake Kermode was arrested in Burwood following a manhunt. He faces multiple charges, including possession of a shortened firearm and armed robbery, after allegedly threatening witnesses with a sawn-off shotgun and setting fire to a stolen van in Dulwich Hill, which triggered a local lockdown.
In the Riverina region, a 38-year-old man was arrested in Wagga Wagga and charged with several offences, including wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. The charges stem from an incident in Leeton where a woman was allegedly stabbed in the head and torso. Additionally, a 24-year-old man has been charged in Leeton following a domestic violence investigation and the alleged theft of approximately $400,000 worth of commercial equipment, including copper wire and power tools.
