Two missing seniors rescued near Peto, Yucatán and Quintana Roo

Two elderly men, 73‑year‑old Félix M. M. and 63‑year‑old Ariel A. C., were hired to work on a ranch in the municipality of Peto, Yucatán. After completing their tasks they failed to return to the agreed meeting point and were reported missing.

State security forces, municipal police, family members and volunteers launched a coordinated search operation, covering dense forested areas near the Quintana Roo border. Around 06:00 a.m. on Wednesday the men were located near kilometre 29 of the Chan Calotmul‑San Francisco de Asís road, close to Sacalaca, Quintana Roo. They were assessed by paramedics, declared stable and unharmed, and transported to the health centre in Peto.

Authorities confirmed the successful conclusion of the operation with both seniors alive and in good health.
