Two motorcyclists killed in collision near Sand, Germany

A fatal motorcycle collision occurred on the B500 near Sand, Germany, on Sunday afternoon, August 30. The accident involved two motorcyclists, aged 18 and 41, both of whom died at the scene despite resuscitation attempts.

According to German police, the 18-year-old driver was traveling toward Baden-Baden and reportedly attempted to turn left to access a parking area, failing to see the oncoming 41-year-old motorcyclist. The collision resulted in the complete closure of the B500 for several hours to facilitate the investigation. Emergency services, including three ambulances, a medical vehicle, and two rescue helicopters, were deployed to the site. The Baden-Baden road police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
