Fatal motorcycle accidents in Germany

Overview

In late August 2026, two separate fatal motorcycle accidents were reported on German federal highways.

On August 28, a motorcyclist approximately 31 to 32 years old died after losing control on a left-hand curve of the B 241 near Goslar. The rider veered off the road, struck a guardrail, and was thrown into a ditch. The B 241 was temporarily closed during the investigation.

On August 30, a collision occurred on the B 500 near Sand involving two motorcyclists, aged 18 and 41. Police reported that the 18-year-old driver attempted a left turn to access a parking area and failed to see the oncoming rider. Both individuals died at the scene. The accident required a large-scale emergency response, including two rescue helicopters, and resulted in the temporary closure of the B 500.
