Two Palestinians arrested for incitement and praising Oct 7 massacre in West Bank

Israeli security forces from the elite "Arrow Yehuda" unit detained two Palestinian men in the Hebron area of the West Bank early on Saturday. The suspects were linked to Hamas and accused of posting online material that called for the destruction of Israel, praised the Oct. 7 Al‑Aqsa Flood massacre, and urged attacks on Jerusalem. One arrest occurred near the village of al‑Majd, and the second followed a raid in the town of Deir Ayyub. Police said the men disseminated propaganda supporting Islamic Jihad’s operations during the recent Gaza conflict and lauded militants involved in the Oct. 7 attacks. The detainees were transferred to the Hebron police station for further investigation and are expected to appear before a court on a request to extend their detention.

The operation was conducted after intelligence monitoring of the suspects’ online activity by the IDF’s Central Command and the regional intelligence unit. Authorities described the arrests as part of ongoing efforts to curb extremist incitement and terror support in the occupied territories.
