Two separate gun attacks kill men in Guanajuato, Mexico

In Salamanca, a man was shot dead on Álvaro Obregón street near San Antonio in the city’s Zona Centro. Municipal and federal authorities, along with Red Cross paramedics, responded and confirmed the victim’s death. The area was cordoned off while investigators from the state prosecutor’s office collected evidence. Police later arrested two suspected perpetrators in the nearby La Gloria neighbourhood and transferred them to the regional control center.

In León, 52‑year‑old Alonso was killed by gunfire inside his home in the Ampliación La Providencia neighbourhood around midnight. Attackers arrived at the door, opened fire when he answered, and fled. Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene. Police have sealed the area for investigation, but no arrests or motive have been reported.
