Two teens caught after stealing tourist’s backpack on Falconara Marittima beach

On Sunday around 11 a.m., a tourist discovered his backpack had been taken from under an umbrella on the central section of the beach in Falconara Marittima, Italy.

Local police responded after the victim and a witness described two young men who fled. Within minutes officers located the suspects elsewhere on the seafront, recovered the backpack and returned it to the tourist. The two suspects, a minor from Parma and a 20‑year‑old from Modena, were taken to the police command for identification; both have prior police records.
