Two Tourists Injured in Italy: 93-Year-Old Falls in Alba Adriatica, French Hiker Airlifted from Monte Vettore

A 93‑year‑old tourist stumbled on Viale Vittoria in the coastal town of Alba Adriatica, Abruzzo, sustaining serious facial and head trauma. Emergency services responded quickly, providing first aid and transporting the man to a nearby hospital for monitoring.

In the Marche region, a French hiker fell while trekking the Monte Vettore massif. He suffered facial injuries and a suspected spinal trauma. Alpine and speleological rescue teams, assisted by firefighters, recovered him with the Icaro 02 helicopter and flew him to the Regional Hospital of Torrette in Ancona for treatment. The hiker’s companion was also attended to by rescue personnel on site.
