Two violent robbery attacks in Argentina leave victims seriously injured

In La Plata, a 46‑year‑old man broke into a carpentry shop and stole tools. Neighbours intercepted him as he tried to flee, restrained him and beat him, leaving visible facial injuries and a pneumothorax. He was taken by ambulance to Hospital San Martín, where he remained conscious and was reported to be improving. Police recovered the stolen equipment and opened a robbery‑attempt investigation.

In Rawson, a 27‑year‑old man reported being attacked during an attempted robbery and was stabbed. He walked 30‑50 metres before collapsing from blood loss and was assisted by emergency services. The local police scientific division is preserving the scene and investigating the assault, with the motive and attacker still unidentified.
