Armed attacks injure multiple victims in Salamanca, Guanajuato

Two separate shootings occurred in Salamanca, Guanajuato. On Monday afternoon, armed assailants opened fire at the intersection of Tomasa Esteves and Matamoros, wounding two women near the Mercado Tomasa Esteves. The victims received pre‑hospital care and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Later that day, police responded to gunfire reports on Cascada del Tintero in the Ampliación El Cerrito neighbourhood. Two men were shot; one sustained a serious gunshot wound while the other suffered a minor projectile injury. The attackers fled on a motorcycle, and the injured were transported to a local hospital. Authorities have launched investigations, collecting ballistic evidence and processing the scenes to identify the perpetrators.
