Triple typhoons active in Northwest Pacific near Japan

A 'triple typhoon' situation has developed in the Northwest Pacific, with the Japan Meteorological Agency reporting the simultaneous activity of Typhoons 27, 28, and 29.

Typhoon 27, described as a large and very strong system, is currently moving near the Ogasawara Islands. Authorities have issued warnings for the Ogasawara Islands to prepare for high waves reaching up to 8 meters and strong winds through October 6. The typhoon is expected to continue moving north/northeast toward the eastern waters of Japan.

Typhoon 28 (formerly Hurricane Nolo) is moving toward Japan and is projected to reach the eastern waters by October 10. Meanwhile, Typhoon 29 (Koguma) is expected to reach the vicinity of Minamitorishima on October 9.

In Taiwan, meteorologist Wu De-rong noted that while three tropical systems are active in the region, they currently pose no direct threat to the island. Weather in Taiwan for the upcoming holiday period may see increased moisture and localized rain in northern and eastern regions, while the western side remains stable.
