Germany U21 defeats Latvia 4-0 behind Paris Brunner debut brace
The Germany U21 national team secured a dominant 4-0 victory against Latvia in Riga as part of their Euro 2027 qualifying campaign. The match was highlighted by a standout debut from Paris Brunner of AS Monaco, who scored twice—once just 53 seconds into the match and again in the 42nd minute.
Other goals were provided by Nicolò Tresoldi in the 52nd minute and Arijon Ibrahimović in the 76th minute. Under coach Antonio di Salvo, the team remains at the top of Group F with 21 points, level with Greece but holding the advantage in direct comparison. Germany requires two more wins, scheduled against Malta and Georgia, to guarantee direct qualification for the tournament in Albania and Serbia.
The squad featured several new players, including Noah Darvich, as several regular starters were called up to the senior national team by Jürgen Klopp. Additionally, U21 captain Tom Bischof is expected to transition to the senior squad following his leadership in the junior ranks.
