UAE advances national cybersecurity through AI and international cooperation
The United Arab Emirates is advancing its national cybersecurity agenda through international cooperation and strategic partnerships. During the UNGA81 High-Level Week, Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, emphasized that cybersecurity is essential for secure digital transformation, smart cities, and trusted digital economies. He called for enhanced international collaboration regarding threat intelligence exchange, AI governance, and post-quantum readiness.
To bolster domestic resilience, the UAE Cybersecurity Council has partnered with Cyble to share proactive threat intelligence aimed at protecting critical infrastructure. Cyble is demonstrating AI-native cybersecurity platforms designed to detect and mitigate malicious activity across cloud environments and endpoints within seconds.
In the private sector, Huawei is focusing on building cyber resilience into intelligent infrastructure. The company’s approach involves integrating security into the design phase of products, developing AI-native solutions for sectors such as government and oil and gas, and prioritizing disaster recovery to ensure business continuity during disruptions.
