UAE cybersecurity and digital defense expansion

The United Arab Emirates is expanding its national cybersecurity and digital defense capabilities through new technological implementations and strategic partnerships.

In Dubai, the Dubai Electronic Security Center and Microsoft launched a Zero Trust assurance dashboard. This tool provides real-time visibility into the cybersecurity posture of government entities by monitoring performance against the Dubai Information Security Regulation. Following a pilot phase, the dashboard is being rolled out to over 80 government organizations to identify vulnerabilities and risky identities.

On a national level, the UAE Cyber Security Council has entered into strategic partnerships to enhance threat intelligence and digital resilience. Through a memorandum of understanding with Cyble, the Council aims to establish a framework for advanced early warning systems and actionable insights into risks such as ransomware, phishing, and fraud. Cyble will utilize its Cyble Vision platform to support rapid detection and automated analysis of malicious campaigns.

Additionally, the Council has partnered with Group-IB to focus on predictive cyber defense, intelligence exchange, and incident response coordination. This collaboration includes plans to establish a joint Innovation Center of Excellence in the UAE to foster cybersecurity innovation and knowledge exchange. Both initiatives emphasize capacity building through specialized training and technical workshops to develop national cybersecurity talent.
