UAE advances digital economy through AI tools and workforce development
The United Arab Emirates is advancing its digital economy through a combination of technological deployment and workforce development. Microsoft has announced that Microsoft Agent 365 will be available to UAE customers starting in October. This tool provides a unified control plane to observe, govern, and secure AI agents as organizations move toward enterprise-scale deployment. The move aligns with UAE government goals to transform 50% of government sectors and services to implement autonomous Agentic AI models within two years.
Parallel to these technological shifts, there is an increasing emphasis on the human element of the digital transition. As the demand for AI, data, and digital expertise grows, leaders are focusing on building a workforce characterized by adaptability, critical thinking, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. In sectors such as data centers, technical capability must be matched by the ability to navigate a rapidly evolving landscape, with a particular focus on diversity and inclusion as part of the broader economic strategy.
