UAE air travel disrupted by US-Iran tensions

Air travel in the United Arab Emirates is experiencing significant disruptions, including flight cancellations and delays, due to escalating regional tensions between the United States and Iran. Major airports in Dubai and Abu Dhabi have reported impacts on services connecting to India, the Gulf region, and other international destinations.

Specific disruptions include cancellations by Air Arabia to Kuwait and Bahrain, as well as delays for SpiceJet services to Kochi and Mumbai. Other affected routes include flights to New Delhi, Baghdad, Damascus, Cairo, and Kabul. At Dubai International Airport, some international services, such as Air France to Paris, have also faced cancellations.

The instability follows renewed hostilities and heightened security concerns in the region, including US sanctions and naval blockade pressures on Iran. Airlines such as Emirates, Etihad, and flydubai continue to operate various regional services but are advising passengers to monitor flight statuses closely and arrive at airports early.
