UAE airlines cancel flights amid rising Middle East tensions

UAE airports continue operating normally, but several carriers have cancelled or suspended routes because of operational and security concerns following renewed U.S.–Iran hostilities. Etihad Airways halted flights to Kuwait and Dammam, Flydubai suspended service to Abha, Air Arabia cancelled trips to Kuwait, Bahrain and Abha, Saudia updated its schedule through October 2026, and Qatar Airways kept passenger services suspended to Bahrain, Erbil and Kuwait until the end of July.

Travelers are urged to verify their flight status before heading to the airport, with airlines notifying passengers by SMS and email. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency has extended its advisory urging airlines to avoid certain Middle‑East airspace amid the unpredictable security situation.
