UAE airlines cancel flights to Bahrain, Kuwait amid tensions
Etihad Airways, Emirates and Air Arabia are adjusting schedules and cancelling selected flights between the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia as regional tensions rise and summer travel demand peaks. Etihad has cancelled services such as EY653 and EY654 between Abu Dhabi and Kuwait, while Emirates has suspended multiple Dubai‑Kuwait and Dubai‑Bahrain flights. Air Arabia also announced changes on routes linking Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the neighboring Gulf states.
Passengers are urged to check flight status via airline apps, arrive at the airport early and keep contact details up‑to‑date for real‑time notifications. The U.S. State Department has issued a travel warning for the Middle East, advising Americans to prepare for possible flight cancellations and airspace closures.
