UAE aviation stabilizes amid Strait of Hormuz tanker strike

Flight operations across the United Arab Emirates have largely normalized, though passengers should remain cautious as delays and cancellations persist on certain routes. Major carriers including Emirates, Etihad, Air Arabia, and flydubai are operating most services, but disruptions have been noted for flights to destinations such as Bahrain and Kuwait.

In the Strait of Hormuz near Khasab, Oman, a tanker was struck by an unknown projectile, resulting in a fire. While the fire was extinguished and all crew members are reported safe, authorities are currently investigating the incident, and no attribution for the attack has been confirmed.

Regional diplomatic efforts continue as Qatar’s Prime Minister travels to Tehran to discuss easing tensions and reviving diplomacy between Iran and the United States. Additionally, Iran and Oman are working toward an agreement regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
