UAE experiences thunderstorms and hail amid extreme heat

The United Arab Emirates has experienced heavy thunderstorms, hail, and rainfall, particularly in the eastern and southern regions including Al Ain. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued orange and yellow alerts for convective clouds, which may lead to further rainfall. While temperatures remain high, reaching up to 49°C in internal areas, the wet weather provides some relief from the extreme summer heat.

Regional weather patterns are affecting neighboring countries as well. Oman has issued warnings regarding potential flash flooding in the Hajar mountains near the UAE border, alongside predictions of hail. Saudi Arabia’s meteorology centre has also warned of thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds that may cause dust storms in certain regions.
