UAE faces extreme heat as temperatures soar to 47°C
The National Centre of Meteorology warned that the United Arab Emirates will experience fair to partly cloudy skies while temperatures climb into the mid‑40s Celsius. Forecasts show Dubai reaching 42 °C, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah 41 °C, Ras Al Khaimah 43 °C, and the interior region of Liwa hitting a peak of 47 °C, with Al Ain expected at 45 °C.
Winds are expected to be light to moderate, ranging from 10 km/h up to 35 km/h, providing limited relief. Sea conditions across the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will remain slight to moderate, with wave heights of one to two feet during the day and a modest increase to three to four feet at night. The period falls within Jamrat Al Qayth, the hottest and driest stretch of the summer season in the UAE.
