UAE heatwave pushes temperatures to 48 °C with rain possible in eastern regions
The National Centre of Meteorology forecasts that the United Arab Emirates will experience a heatwave with maximum temperatures reaching up to 48 °C in interior areas, while coastal zones will see highs of 42‑45 °C. Convective cloud development is expected over the eastern and southern parts of the country, bringing a chance of isolated showers and brief rain.
Winds are projected to strengthen to 35‑40 km/h, raising dust and sand in exposed locations. Sea conditions will remain slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, with occasional roughness offshore. The hot, humid pattern is set to persist through the week, with similar temperature ranges and cloud‑build‑up expected into Friday and the weekend.
