UAE sees rain from cloud‑seeding amid 50°C heat
The United Arab Emirates experienced a brief spell of rainfall after the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) carried out cloud‑seeding missions over several days. The operations, timed with suitable cloud formations, aimed to boost natural precipitation and provided some relief despite temperatures that have intermittently reached 50 °C.
Meteorologists forecast further afternoon showers across eastern and southern parts of the country over the next few days, with temperatures expected to peak between 45 °C and 47 °C. Coastal humidity will stay high, while light to moderate winds may cause dust in exposed areas. The weather pattern is projected to ease by the weekend, with only isolated rainfall chances remaining.
