UAE weather: Extreme heat, rain, and dust expected
The United Arab Emirates is experiencing fluctuating weather conditions, characterized by extreme heat, potential rainfall, and dust. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has reported temperatures reaching as high as 50°C in internal regions, though recent forecasts indicate a slight dip in some areas to approximately 39°C in cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ajman.
Unsettled weather is expected to persist, with convective cloud formation in eastern and southern regions likely to bring chances of rain. Additionally, the NCM warns of blowing dust caused by winds reaching up to 40 km/h, particularly in western areas, and increased humidity overnight that may lead to fog or mist in coastal regions, potentially reducing visibility.
Meteorological experts suggest that while hot weather and high humidity will continue through the remainder of August, temperatures are expected to begin a gradual decrease as the country approaches the beginning of September.
