UAE weather forecast: Extreme heat, fog, and rain expected
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued weather warnings for the United Arab Emirates, forecasting extreme heat, fog, and potential rainfall throughout the week.
Temperatures are expected to reach as high as 49°C in internal regions, with Al Ain and Liwa recording some of the highest temperatures. Coastal and island areas are forecast to see highs between 40°C and 45°C.
In addition to the heat, the NCM warned of increased humidity overnight and into Tuesday morning, which may lead to the formation of fog or mist over western coastal areas. Motorists have been urged to exercise caution due to reduced visibility.
Unsettled weather is also expected, with convective clouds potentially bringing rainfall to eastern and southern areas on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Winds may strengthen to 40km/h at times, which could raise dust and further reduce visibility in exposed areas.
