UAE weather forecast: High heat and potential above-average rainfall

The United Arab Emirates is facing extreme heat, with temperatures forecast to reach 46°C in internal areas. High humidity levels, potentially reaching 95 per cent in coastal and island regions, are expected to cause mist or fog in several areas during the nights and early mornings of the coming days.

Looking ahead to the cooler season, meteorologists from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) suggest that the UAE may experience above-average rainfall from October through January. This trend is linked to a strong El Niño phenomenon. While El Niño is a global climate signal that can influence atmospheric circulation, experts clarify that it does not directly cause extreme storms or flooding in the UAE, though heavy rain remains possible if specific local conditions develop.
