UAE weather forecast: High humidity and fog warnings for coastal areas
The United Arab Emirates is experiencing high humidity and intense summer heat. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued warnings for increased humidity, reaching 90% in coastal and island areas, and potential fog or mist formation on Sunday morning. This may significantly reduce visibility in coastal cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as well as in internal regions.
Temperatures are expected to remain in the low-40s across the country, with internal regions potentially reaching 47°C. Coastal areas are forecasted to see highs between 39°C and 44°C.
Relief from the heat is anticipated in the second half of September. According to Ibrahim Al Jarwan of the Emirates Astronomical Society, a consistent decline in temperatures is expected to begin around September 25. During this period, maximum temperatures are projected to settle below 40°C, with minimum temperatures dropping below 25°C.
