UAE weather: Unsettled conditions and rain expected through Thursday
The United Arab Emirates is experiencing a period of unsettled weather, with rain forecasted to persist through Thursday. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has noted that convective clouds are expected to develop over eastern and southern areas, bringing a continued chance of rainfall.
Heavy downpours have already impacted several regions, including Al Ain, where intense showers caused water to flow across roads and accumulate in certain areas. In Abu Dhabi, recent rainfall prompted the municipality to take precautionary measures, including the temporary closure of parks and recreational facilities.
Weather conditions are expected to include increased humidity and the potential for fog or mist over coastal and inland areas during the mornings. Winds may reach speeds of up to 45km/h around convective clouds, which could lead to blowing dust and sand.
