UAEMéx and Cuautitlán Izcalli partner to establish new University Center

The Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEMéx) and the Municipality of Cuautitlán Izcalli have signed a general collaboration agreement to strengthen academic, scientific, and cultural projects in the region.

During the signing ceremony, UAEMéx Rector Martha Patricia Zarza Delgado and Mayor Luis Daniel Serrano Palacios unveiled a plaque marking the transformation of the Professional Academic Unit into a University Center. This transition aims to foster academic growth and community engagement.

As part of the initiative, the local administration delivered 87 computer units to the campus to support academic activities. Additionally, the municipal government will begin construction on an arcotecho (arch roof) at the University Center, a project intended to benefit approximately 2,300 students and improve academic facilities.
