UAEMéx Tecámac campus celebrates first anniversary

The Tecámac campus of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEMéx) has celebrated its first anniversary. The campus serves as a strategic expansion of the university to provide upper secondary education opportunities in a high-demand region of the State of Mexico.

During the commemorative ceremony, Rector Martha Patricia Zarza Delgado stated that the campus's presence in Tecámac aligns with a vision to recognize the specific needs of different regions within the state. This regionalization aims to bring educational opportunities closer to local youth and foster a university community linked to its environment.

For the current school cycle, the campus has enrolled 250 students, with 66 percent being new admissions. Notably, 55 percent of the student population is female. Rector Zarza Delgado highlighted that this demographic reflects the institution's commitment to gender perspective and substantive equality, goals also outlined in the proposed reform to the UAEMéx Law.
