UAT hosts free migration documentary film series and summer sports‑cultural camp

The Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) will serve as the official venue for the national documentary film cycle "Mirador: Historias sin fronteras" from 19 to 29 June at its Faculty of Law and Social Sciences in Tampico. The free screenings, organized by DocsMX, will feature five award‑winning non‑fiction films that examine migration between Mexico and the United States.

In parallel, UAT is organizing a summer children’s sports and cultural camp for ages 6‑12. The camp runs 6 July–17 July in Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa, Matamoros, Ciudad Victoria and Mante, with additional sessions in Tampico from 3 August–14 August. Activities include football, basketball, volleyball, taekwondo, judo, and arts workshops such as dance, drawing and cinema.

Both initiatives aim to foster community engagement, cultural reflection and healthy recreation among university students, families and the broader Tamaulipas public.
