Ubatuba begins developing Municipal Special Education Policy
The Ubatuba Secretary of Education has launched the development of a Municipal Special Education Policy from an inclusive education perspective. The initiative aims to establish guidelines to strengthen service, inclusion, and the rights of students within the municipality.
The policy-making process is designed to be participatory, involving community representatives, municipal secretariats, councils, managers, teachers, education professionals, and families. Participants will discuss the current reality of special education in Ubatuba, identify existing barriers, and propose solutions for the new public policy.
As an initial step, the Secretary has released a form to gather community feedback on the current educational landscape. This data will help align future guidelines with local needs. Education Secretary Claudinei dos Santos stated that the goal is to create a policy that represents local reality and provides permanent guidance for the educational network.
