Ubatuba begins development of 2026–2036 Municipal Education Plan

The municipality of Ubatuba has begun developing its new Municipal Education Plan (PME) for the period 2026–2036. This document is intended to establish the objectives, goals, and strategies that will guide local educational public policies over the next decade.

The plan will be based on an analysis of Ubatuba’s educational reality, incorporating data, population demands, and the specific characteristics of the municipality's various territories. The primary goals include expanding access to education, improving teaching quality, fostering inclusion and equity, and reducing inequalities.

Education Supervisor Maria de Fátima Souza Barros Santos stated that the plan must represent the reality of Ubatuba and project the community's vision for the next ten years. The development process is designed to be participatory and collaborative, involving students, families, educators, municipal councils, and civil society organizations through meetings, working groups, and public consultations.
