Ubatuba opens registrations for Municipal Tourism Council
The Ubatuba Tourism Secretariat (Setur) has opened registrations for candidates seeking to join the Municipal Tourism Council (CMT) for the 2026–2028 term. The deadline for applications is the 24th.
The council is composed of representatives from the public sector, the tourism production chain, and organized civil society. Once candidates are vetted, representatives from the production chain and civil society will be selected through an Electoral Assembly.
Tourism Secretary Anderson Paiva warned of the importance of meeting the deadline, noting that only three registrations have been received so far. He cautioned that once the current 120-day mandate extension expires, the council will be legally barred from deliberating on any tourism-related demands or managing the Municipal Tourism Fund until new elections are completed.
