Ubatuba submits intent to host 2027 Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup

The municipality of Ubatuba has formally expressed interest in hosting the Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup in 2027. This intention was signaled through the delivery of a letter of intent during the Jê Academia Internal Tournament held at the Ginásio Tubão.

The initiative involves collaboration between the city's Sports, Education, and Cabinet departments. Saulo Souza, the Secretary of Sports and Leisure, stated that the goal is to expand the local sports calendar and support the development of various disciplines, starting with rhythmic gymnastics and potentially expanding to artistic gymnastics in the future.

Institutional Relations Advisor Tatiana Mansur emphasized that hosting an event of this scale requires integrated planning and infrastructure across different municipal sectors. The proposal will now undergo analysis and definition by the responsible organizing body. If confirmed, the event is expected to increase the visibility of the sport in the region and attract athletes and teams from various cities.
