Uber Japan adds new Nissan Elgrand to Premium service

Uber Japan has launched the new Nissan Elgrand as part of its Uber Premium service lineup. This initiative is a result of a partnership between Uber Japan and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., with vehicles being introduced by Hinomaru Limousine and the IBI Group.

The Uber Premium service, which has seen a sevenfold increase in both ride volume and transaction value since 2023, aims to meet the rising demand for high-end mobility among both domestic users and international tourists. The new Elgrand model is designed to provide a quiet, lounge-like experience, utilizing Nissan's e-4ORCE technology to ensure passenger comfort.

While users cannot specifically request the Elgrand through the app, they can select the ‘Large Wagon’ category to increase the likelihood of being matched with such a vehicle. To mark the launch, Uber is offering a promotional campaign providing a 20% discount on Uber Premium rides in Japan through October 31, 2026.
