Uber launches live video feature for Uber Teens in Mexico

Uber has launched a new live video feature for its Uber Teens service across all operating cities in Mexico. The tool is designed to enhance safety and parental supervision for adolescents using the platform.

Through the app’s Family Profile, parents and guardians can view live video from the vehicle's interior during a trip. The transmission is facilitated via the driver’s mobile device and is accessible exclusively to the linked guardian. Once the trip concludes, access to the live feed is restricted, though files remain protected for potential use in incident reports.

This update integrates with existing safety protocols, such as audio recording, RideCheck for detecting unexpected stops, and synchronization with emergency services. The feature is activated through the Safety Center interface, allowing users or drivers to transmit real-time images to Uber’s specialized support team during emergencies.
